thren·o·dy ('thre-n&-dE), noun : a song of lamentation for the dead : ELEGYOnce again apologies for last week when the show did not air due to a lengthy transaction over my old car. If I ever know ahead of time that I will not be able to do the show, I’ll either tape a new show and send it to kalleboo or at least leave him a re-run. However, the fact that this week’s show started five minutes late can be attributed solely to mroach’s alarm clock, and I take no responsibility.
Well, ten episodes into this program, I’d say my formula is working out pretty well. Throughout the week I gather new music through label web sites and my own frequent trips to the record shop so that you can be sure to hear all that’s new and listenable right here on Dead Air. After that, I typically play a variety of oldies-but-goodies based on what’s been frequenting my in-car iPod or discussed in GBS. Then there are the inane requests that I play for you guys out of love. Perhaps their absense from this show is what made it so good.
Lots of new tracks this week and a couple of older ones that are “heavier than a gorilla carrying a sack of bricks.” (sup, 666)
It was a bit sparse in the channel during this show, but here is a record of what was said.
